Usually, when we are talking about modular constructions, we think that are structure with no strong and and solidity, even that are ” perfect for emergencies”. However, every time , modular constructions are solid structures that provide a good base with good materials as concrete. Keep reading NIBUG’s blog.
The importance of solidity in modular constructions
A building is not only an structure or an interior design which works efficiently when we try to maintain o manage but also, it’s important a base that supports all the structure and, of course, it matters that materials we use to manufacture.
The base must be solid, strong and adjusted to field characteristics. According this and the clients requirements, the building need more or less volume of foundation to support all the structure.
The materials in modular constructions
In other post, we were talked about which materials are used in modular constructions: wood, steel, ceramics, aluminium and how they do affect the environment. However, the strongest material and which provide more qualities when we want to build a building is concrete. Modular constructions allows to industrialized all the construction process and a material as concrete allows to use this kind of process.
Benefits of using concrete in modular constructions:
- A long-term material, fireproof, acoustic absortion and which provides more stability and structure consistency.
- Rapidly execution.
- Strict quality control because of manufacturing offsite.
- Accuracy when we execute: time and resources are previously calculated.
Concrete provides solidity in modular constructions, but what else?
Concrete solidity allows to create total or parcial structures, even internal parts of the building (stairs, furniture,…) than once are been manufactured, they can be reduced to an small segments to put in a shipping container and when they arrived at their destination, they only need to be assemble.
