Who is BIM Manager?
In a constructive project there are different figures and the this is in charge of coordinating the entire BIM process. Thus, it is not only the person who installs the software necessary to create the modelling, but it is responsible for all issues related to BIM.
The BIM Manager manages all BIM information. It must ensure that the flow of information is done correctly and that the requirements that the client requests are fulfilled throughout the project.

Tasks of the BIM Manager
- Implement the BIM system: how and what the system will be implemented.
- Control and revision of standards: BIM can be implemented with different formats and programs and can generate different types of information. The job of BIM Manager is to ensure that everyone works with a compatible format, that all present the necessary information and apply a style script in the presentation of this.
- Coordinate the team: In construction projects, many people work to make it possible. The BIM Manager must coordinate them and ensure that they execute the models and the information within the deadlines.
- Establish the distribution of information: you must design a plan about what information is distributed, how, but also to whom it is distributed.
- Feedback: during the information dump, it is likely to undergo updates or modifications. So, one of the tasks of the BIM Manager is that everyone is knowledgeable about the changes.
- Close the process: close the modelling and establish that the information has been delivered properly.
