In manufactured construction and in NIBUG, one of elements that we can control is the safety in a efficient way thanks to BIM. How do we get? How can BIM allow to control the safety? If do you want to know the reason, keep reading!
Why is the safety one of the most important element in manufactured construction?
The safety is the aspect who cares about workers well-being. One of the agents who helps in pre-project and execution phase is Health and Safety coordinator. How? The other agents implied have to introduce the design data, materials choices, numbers of floors,… all information that helps Health and Safety coordinator identify the possible risks since the beginning.
BIM and the safety in manufactured construction
Thanks to BIM methodology, Health and Safety introduce to the program, the planning of the diferents construction phase ad he creates for each one a different prevention plans. This method allows to create visual support and if we have resources of virtual reality, he can show the a simulation to the workers for teach them how they can react in any case when they find a difficult situation.
Thanks to BIM, we avoid the improvisation and it makes that all agents implied in the project being transparents. It allows, thanks to the data, if all prevention plans are being following or if any material are achieving the health and safety rules. NIBUG works with a open floor buildings. This fact do that we erased a several risks factors because we avoid that workers can fall.
Is the safety only a construction’s thing?
When we talk about safety or prevention risk, we can misunderstand that it’s only a construction’s thing. Not only the specialist has to think in design phase or execution or event assemble phase but also during the building life. Thanks BIM methodology and available data, the client can be updated when materials should be replaced or how can affect weather or temperature at the facility.
Do you think about how safety can affect to your project? At NIBUG we help to developing your building projects according to the rules of each country.
